WELCOME TO THE JACK NORTON FANSITE
This is a fansite dedicated to the films and projects of Jack Norton: an avant-garde filmmaker and musician based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
His debut feature length film Jug Band Hokum follows the eccentric lives of jug band musicians competing for a broken waffle iron in the Annual Minneapolis Battle of the Jug Bands. Hailed by critics as “wildly fun…a real-life version of Christopher Guest’s A Mighty Wind with dashes of Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers“, the documentary is currently touring to art houses and film festivals worldwide.
Norton is frequently releasing a series of “cinepoems” (short experimental art films) and is currently shooting a feature length narrative film, set for a late 2016 release.
Updating this site is a labor of love, and I will try to post news, screenings and release info on his various projects, often – so please visit again soon.
ABOUT ME AND THIS PAGE
My name is Will and I live in Brooklyn, New York. I met Jack at a screening of a short film he directed and immediately fell in love with his work. I asked if there was anything I could do to help spread the word and hence this site (and it’s related social medias) was born.
Jack only posts updates at http://twitter.com/filmusichaos – he does not contribute to this page. To the best of my knowledge that is the only social media he is active on. He dissolved his official website and I merged most of its content within this page.
He has given me his approval, but is not connected with this fansite and its related social medias. I run fansite social medias at: http://facebook.com/JackNortonFilm, http://twitter.com/JackNortonFilm and http://instagram.com/JackNortonFilm.
I love to connect with others that like his work, my email is: email@example.com.
For all inquires, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
